The Armored Group, a global leader in providing armored vehicles to NGOs, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals, is seeking an experienced A/C Technician for our new manufacturing facility in the UAE.
As an A/C Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems within our warehouse and other facility areas. This role is vital in ensuring a comfortable and efficient working environment for our team by maintaining optimal climate control. Responsibilities
- A/C System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and repair of air conditioning units, ensuring optimal performance within the warehouse and office areas.
- Installation and Upgrades: Install new A/C units as required, ensuring they are set up according to specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with HVAC systems, including refrigeration units, ventilation systems, and air conditioning controls.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of A/C systems and reduce downtime.
- Support Services: Assist with additional maintenance tasks related to warehouse climate control, including ventilation system repairs and air quality monitoring.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of refrigerants and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with company standards.
Must Have
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC systems is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance role focusing on air conditioning systems, ideally in an industrial or warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with various A/C units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration components.
- Certifications: Certification in handling refrigerants (e.g., EPA 608) is preferred.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in any regional languages Hindi/Urdu/Arabic languages is a plus.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, stand for long periods and lift or handle equipment and work in various weather conditions.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS): Familiarity with BMS for centralized control of HVAC systems.
- ERP Systems: Experience using ERP systems to track maintenance schedules and inventory.
- Green Energy Solutions: Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC systems to optimize facility energy consumption.
- Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in additional languages to improve communication with diverse teams.
