The Armored Group,, a global leader in armored vehicle manufacturing, is looking to hire an experienced Health and Safety Officer for our new manufacturing facility in the UAE.
As an HSE Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment, aligning with both local and international standards. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, growth-oriented team in a high-demand market.
Responsibilities

Develop Safety Policies: Create and implement safety protocols to maintain workplace safety.

Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Employee Training: Provide safety training to ensure all staff understand and adhere to safety practices.

Incident Investigation: Examine accidents to determine causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with safety regulations and ensure the organization complies with all applicable laws.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, coordinating drills and training with relevant teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve health and safety processes, ensuring ongoing compliance with best practices.
Must Have
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.

A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations, including JAFZA guidelines.
- Experience with health and safety management systems, particularly ISO 45001, Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Proficiency in investigating incidents and generating comprehensive reports.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in any regional languages Hindi/Urdu/Arabic languages is a plus.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Experience in the automotive or heavy industry sector, particularly in armored vehicle manufacturing.
- Additional certifications in First Aid, Fire Warden, or Emergency Response.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to enhance safety processes and reduce waste.
