The Armored Group , a global leader in providing armored vehicles to NGOs, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals, is seeking an experienced Logistics Assistant for our new manufacturing facility in UAE.

As Logistics Assistant you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring the seamless movement of goods, adherence to regulations, and timely delivery of materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in customs handling, freight forwarding, shipping, and regulatory approvals in the UAE.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all logistics processes, from material sourcing to final delivery, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Coordinate with customs authorities and ensure smooth customs clearance for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders and shipping companies to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and approvals for imports, exports, and internal logistics.
  • Optimize the logistics flow to reduce lead times and costs while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
  • Track shipments, ensure proper documentation, and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
  • Maintain compliance with UAE regulatory and international shipping laws, ensuring that all logistics activities align with company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to ensure an integrated logistics approach.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in logistics operations.

Must Have

  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in logistics, focusing on customs handling, freight forwarding, shipping, and regulatory approval in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE import/export regulations, customs clearance procedures, and documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with shipping and logistics providers.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems for tracking and managing shipments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably with exposure to vehicle production.
  • Familiarity with Odoo or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations and global trade compliance.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Multilingual Abilities: Proficiency in additional languages specially Arabic.
