The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring the seamless movement of goods, adherence to regulations, and timely delivery of materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in customs handling, freight forwarding, shipping, and regulatory approvals in the UAE.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all logistics processes, from material sourcing to final delivery, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinate with customs authorities and ensure smooth customs clearance for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders and shipping companies to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and approvals for imports, exports, and internal logistics.
- Optimize the logistics flow to reduce lead times and costs while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
- Track shipments, ensure proper documentation, and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
- Maintain compliance with UAE regulatory and international shipping laws, ensuring that all logistics activities align with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to ensure an integrated logistics approach.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in logistics operations.
Must Have
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in logistics, focusing on customs handling, freight forwarding, shipping, and regulatory approval in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE import/export regulations, customs clearance procedures, and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with shipping and logistics providers.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems for tracking and managing shipments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably with exposure to vehicle production.
- Familiarity with Odoo or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and global trade compliance.
- Arabic language proficiency.
