Quality Control Manager

The Armored Group, a global leader in providing armored vehicles to NGOs, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals, is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager for our new manufacturing facility in UAE. This role is critical to ensuring that our armored vehicles meet the highest quality and safety standards while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The Quality Control Manager will oversee the entire quality control process, from initial inspections through final product delivery, ensuring that customer expectations are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality control system to ensure products meet internal and external specifications, including client requirements.
  • Inspection and Testing: Oversee all aspects of product inspection, from incoming materials through final vehicle audits, ensuring all quality and safety standards are met.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of quality control inspectors, providing training, guidance, and performance assessments to ensure consistent and accurate inspections.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify areas of improvement in manufacturing processes and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
  • Compliance and Certifications: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, certifications, and customer-specific requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of armored vehicle standards and certifications.
  • Defect Resolution: Investigate and resolve any defects or non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components, implementing necessary quality assurance measures with vendors.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality control processes, inspections, and tests. Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, including defect rates, corrective actions, and process improvements.
  • Audits: Lead internal and external quality audits, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer expectations.

Must Have

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a quality control management role, preferably in the automotive, defense, or manufacturing industries.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, armored vehicle standards, and inspection techniques.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing quality control teams and driving high-performance results.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot quality issues in real-time, implementing corrective actions to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in data collection and analysis to monitor quality trends and implement process improvements.
  • ERP Systems: Experience with ERP systems related to quality control and production processes.

  • CAD Proficiency: Experience with CAD software to review technical drawings and ensure products align with design specifications.
  • A3 problem-solving methodology for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
