The Armored Group, a global leader in providing armored vehicles to NGOs, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals, is seeking an experienced CNC Steel Bender for our new manufacturing facility in the UAE.
As a Steel Bender, you will play a critical role in shaping high-grade steel armored plates used in the production of armored vehicles. This position involves precise bending and forming of armored steel components to meet stringent specifications required for the protection and durability of our vehicles. Responsibilities
- Steel Plate Bending: Program, set up, adjust, and operate bending machines to shape armored steel plates according to detailed technical drawings and specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections of bent steel components to ensure they meet TAG’s high standards for strength, durability, and fit within armored vehicle designs.
- Material Handling: Handle various grades and thicknesses of armored steel, ensuring precision in shaping plates that are integral to vehicle protection.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on bending machines to ensure continuous operation and minimize downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling heavy steel plates and machinery.
- Documentation: Record production outputs, machine settings, and quality control checks to maintain accurate records.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Engineering and Quality Control teams to ensure that bent steel components align with vehicle design specifications and production timelines.
Must Have
- Education: Technical certification in metalworking or steel fabrication preferred.High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years operating bending machines, with specific experience in working with armored steel plates for vehicle manufacturing.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and specifications related to armored vehicle design.
- Strong knowledge of various armored steel grades and thicknesses, with an emphasis on ballistic protection.
- Experience with machine settings for precise bending of thick armored plates.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with production and engineering teams.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in any regional languages Hindi/Urdu/Arabic languages is a plus.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, stand for long periods and lift or handle equipment and work in various weather conditions
