The Armored Group , a global leader in providing armored vehicles to NGOs, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals, is seeking an experienced Welder for our new manufacturing facility in the UAE.
As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding components for armored vehicles, ensuring all work meets our rigorous quality and safety standards. This is a unique opportunity to work with specialized materials, including ballistic steel, in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and cutting operations to assemble and fabricate components for armored vehicles, ensuring precise and secure welds.
- Welding Specification Compliance: Follow Welding Specification Procedures to ensure all welds meet industry and client standards.
- Geometrical Assembly: Fabricate vehicle parts based on precise geometrical specifications to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Ballistic Steel Welding: Apply specialized welding techniques for ballistic steel to enhance the durability and safety of armored vehicles.
- Welding Defects Prevention: Identify and correct welding defects, ensuring structural integrity and quality.
- Door Alignment: Perform precise alignment of doors for armored SUVs, ensuring proper fit and function.
- Safety and PPE Compliance: Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed welds to confirm they meet TAG’s stringent quality standards.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with production and quality control teams to meet project schedules and client specifications.
Must Have
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in welding, with specific experience in automotive or armored vehicle manufacturing.
- Proficiency in GMAW welding techniques and machine settings.
- Knowledge of Welding Specification Procedures (WSP).
- Experience with ballistic steel armoring and specialized welding for armored vehicles.
- Attention to detail for ensuring high-quality welds.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in any regional languages Hindi/Urdu/Arabic languages is a plus.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, stand for long periods and lift or handle equipment as required and work in confined spaces.
Nice to have
- Certifications: American Welding Society (AWS) certification or equivalent.
- Fabrication Skills: Experience in fabricating vehicle parts and structures.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of armored vehicle manufacturing processes and industry standards.
- ERP Systems: Familiarity with ERP systems for managing work orders and inventory.
- Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in additional languages to improve communication with diverse teams.
