Job Title: Production Manager

Overview:

The Armored Group, a global leader in providing armored vehicles to NGOs, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals, is seeking an experienced Production Manager for our new manufacturing facility in Dubai. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining the highest quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, from planning and resource allocation to meeting customer delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Planning and Scheduling: Manage the daily production schedule to ensure on-time delivery of armored vehicles, coordinating with sales and logistics teams.
• Team Management: Lead and oversee production teams, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency in the production process.
• Process Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet ArmoredCars.com’s stringent quality standards.
• Resource Management: Ensure efficient use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all production processes comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Coordination with Engineering and Design: Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure that production aligns with technical specifications and client requirements.
• Reporting and Metrics: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency, quality, and cost management, presenting regular updates to senior management.
• Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve any production issues to prevent delays and ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the automotive, defense, or manufacturing industries.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing production teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
• Process Optimization Expertise: Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry standards in armored vehicle production or similar sectors.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues in real-time, ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently.
• ERP Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems for production planning and resource management.

Job Title: Team Leader - Welding Section

Location: UAE, New Manufacturing Facility

Job Overview: As the Team Leader for the Welding Section, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of the welding team within our new manufacturing facility in the UAE. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of welding quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained while leading a skilled team of welders in the production of our high-quality armored vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of welders, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Oversee daily welding operations, ensuring all safety protocols and welding techniques are followed.
• Collaborate with the production management team to ensure optimal workflow and resource allocation.
• Ensure welding equipment is maintained, inspected, and in optimal working condition.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure welding meets industry standards and specific vehicle requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues to minimize downtime and enhance production efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and training to the welding team, fostering continuous improvement in skills and processes.
• Monitor performance, provide feedback, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Work closely with other departments, including engineering and quality assurance, to meet project deadlines and specifications.

Must-Have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a welding leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in automotive or armored vehicle production.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques (MIG, TIG, etc.), and material handling, especially with high-strength steels.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Proven leadership and team management skills with a focus on fostering a positive, results-driven work environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in welding operations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have (Updated):

• Welding certifications (AWS, CWI, or similar).
• Experience with welding automation and robotic welding systems.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing start-up or new facility.
• Multilingual abilities (English and Arabic preferred).
• Engineering degree in mechanical, industrial, or a related field.
