Role Overview

• Purpose
  The Legal Advisor ensures TAG operates within the boundaries of local and international laws while mitigating legal risks. This role provides expert legal advice, drafts contracts, and represents the company in legal matters to safeguard its interests.
• Job Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with UAE laws, JAFZA regulations, and international standards related to corporate and manufacturing operations.
  • Contract Drafting and Review: Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring alignment with company policies and minimizing risks.
  • Legal Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks in contracts, operations, and partnerships and provide actionable solutions to mitigate them.
  • Policy Development: Draft and implement internal legal policies and guidelines to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
  • Dispute Resolution: Represent the company in legal disputes, mediations, or negotiations, working towards amicable and cost-effective resolutions.
  • Government and Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary contact with regulatory authorities for legal compliance matters, licenses, and permits.
  • Corporate Governance: Ensure adherence to corporate governance practices, maintaining transparency and accountability in decision-making processes.
  • Legal Advisory: Provide expert advice to management and other departments on legal implications of business decisions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate legal documentation and prepare reports for management on compliance and legal matters.

• Working Conditions
  • Environment: Office-based role with occasional travel for meetings, negotiations, or regulatory engagements.
  • Physical Demands: Primarily desk work with extended periods of computer use.

Requirements

• Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); Master’s in Law (LLM) is preferred.
  • Bar certification or equivalent legal practice license.
• Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate legal advisory, with a focus on manufacturing or automotive industries.
  • Proven track record in contract management, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE laws, JAFZA regulations, and international trade compliance.
  • Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and review skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
