Role Overview
Purpose
The Logistics Assistant supports the logistics team in coordinating and executing daily operations, including shipping, inventory management, and documentation. This role ensures the efficient flow of goods and materials while maintaining accurate records and compliance with TAG’s logistics standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Shipping and Receiving:
- Assist in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Inventory Management:
- Update and maintain inventory records in the system.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Documentation:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
- Ensure all logistics-related documentation is complete and compliant with regulations.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Liaise with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal departments to track shipments and resolve issues.
- Provide updates on shipment status to the logistics manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Warehouse Support:
- Assist with the organization and storage of goods in the warehouse.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper loading and unloading of shipments.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies during logistics operations.
- Ensure proper handling of goods, especially hazardous materials, to minimize risks.
- Reporting:
- Generate reports on shipping activities, inventory levels, and logistics performance as requested.
- Identify opportunities for improving logistics efficiency and report them to the logistics manager.

Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or a related field.

This role involves strategic planning, team management, and coordination with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders to meet operational goals and customer expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Logistics Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation and distribution processes.
- Plan and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality service.
- Supply Chain Coordination:
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate inventory management.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the logistics team, including drivers, warehouse staff, and coordinators.
- Set performance goals, provide training, and conduct evaluations to enhance team productivity.
- Inventory and Warehouse Management:
